Method

  1. 1. Soak the soya granules in enough hot water for 5 minutes, cover with a lid and keep aside.
  2. 2. Drain well and wash the soya granules 2-3 times under running water. Keep aside.
  3. 3. Heat the milk in a broad non-stick pan, and bring to a boil, while stirring continuously.
  4. 4. Add the soya granules, sugar, cornflour-water mixture, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 4 to 5 minutes, till thick, while stirring continuously.
  5. 5. Add the cardamom powder and saffron-milk mixture, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute, while stirring occasionally.
  6. 6. Cool, refrigerate for 1 hour.
  7. 7. Serve chilled garnished with almond slivers.
